Luxembourg

After leaving Dinant, we set South for Luxembourg City, the capital of Luxembourg. These countries are all so close together, it’s only a little more than an hour to drive between the cities we visited. In fact, the entire country of Luxembourg is smaller than the itty bitty state of Rhode Island. It only takes 40 minutes to drive across it. So the road trip was not bad at all, even with four small kids!

We took a tour of Luxembourg’s casemates, a series of tunnels dug by long-ago monarchs for protection from invasion.

Then, back out into the city for more sightseeing!

European graffiti is almost always in English.

Bunches got tired of all that walking!
Finally, we headed to our hotel! We had 2 rooms like this, with a bunk over a double bed. We were exhausted! I think we all went to bed by 8pm every night of this trip.

Last stop: Trier, Germany.
